OSHA requires all workers using respirators to undertake annual testing to ensure that their respirator fits and makes a good seal.
FROST offers quantitative fit testing for all standard respirator types including half face, full face, and SCBA respirators. Testing is performed using state of the art devices to measure the actual effectiveness of the mask seal.

FROST optionally offers qualitative fit testing. Here, the person being tested is asked to confirm whether they can taste or smell a chemical agent that is introduced to the mask. These agents include saccharin, bitrex, isoamyl acetate (banana oil), and irritant smoke.
OSHA requires all workers using respirators to undertake an annual medical clearance and, in some cases, a pulmonary function test.
Complete all required OSHA medical and respiratory health screening questionnaires through our secure online portal.
FROST technicians record any required observations like resting blood pressure, height, weight, and optional EKG*
PFT spirometry testing provided when required either due to type of mask or underlying medical concerns.
We securely archive all results in our HIPAA compliant health data platform. This lets us provide insights into trends.
All results are assessed by our physicians. On completion, we certify whether the employee is cleared for respirator use, temporarily cleared (restricted) pending additional medical examination, or restricted completely.
* Additional charge for optional EKG
As part of complying with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, you must provide annual respiratory protection training to your staff. FROST can create a customized on-site training course for you designed around your specific needs. This includes:

Learn about the risks to your health and how to select the correct type of respirator

Understand how to correctly fit and use your respirator to ensure it protects you

Advice on how to check and maintain your respirator so it functions properly
Our trained staff ensure a professional delivery of up-to-date knowledge so you can remain compliant with OSHA requirements. We have 30+ years of experience working with CalOSHA 5144 and 5199 safety regulations.
† OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requires annual medical evaluation, training and fit testing for each mask worn by an employee in the workplace.
