ATD screening

California mandates aerosol transmissible disease testing for a wide range of occupations. These include

School staff and volunteers

All school staff and volunteers must complete TB screening within 60 days prior to starting their employment in a given school district

Healthcare workers

Any healthcare workers who may be exposed to aerrosol transmissible diseases must be screened in accordance with the relevant California Code of Regulation

First responders

The CCR Title 8, section 5199 ATD Standard mandates annual TB testing and suitable follow up for all first responders employed within California
